October Events

Even though October is best known for Halloween, there are many other events that you can take part in this month. Mark your calendar for these local events so that you can take full advantage of the month with the whole family.

Celebrate Mesa 2015 is taking place on October 17th and is not an event that you will want to miss out on. The free event is going on at the Red Mountain Soccer complex from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and works to bring families in the community together to enjoy carnival rides, games, live entertainment, and much more! There will also be various food vendors on sight to enjoy. Make sure to stick around until the end of the event for the outdoor showing or Monsters University starting at 8 p.m.

On October 21st, head out to Mesa Community College for Empty Bowls at Mesa Community College. For just a $10 donation, you can take home a handmade, one of a kind bowl while helping to feed the hungry in the local community. You have the opportunity to pick out your own bowl and dine on a meal of soup, bread, and water in observance of World Hunger Day. All the proceeds from the event help to directly benefit Pas de Cristo Community Center, a nonprofit that provides anti-hunger and empowerment support for unemployed, homeless, working poor and their families all in East Village. The rolls and soups are prepared by Pita Jungle, Alpine Valley Bread Co., T.C. Eggingtons, and Red, White & Brew. There will also be a silent auction that will feature ceramic work by talented artists in the East Valley that will take place from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. before the event.

All of us at Brewer-Lloyd Insurance Group would like to invite you and your loved ones out to enjoy these local Mesa, AZ October events!
